Title: Basic Life Support Incorporating both adult and paediatric protocols
Date: Tuesday 12th October 2019
Time: 1230pm – 430pm
Venue: Meeting Room (Grange Room 2), Nutwood Medical Practice, Kents Bank Road, Grange-over-Sands, LA11 7DJ
Cost: £40 + VAT
Aim: Empower delegates with knowledge and skills to be able to rapidly respond to emergency situations involving both adults and children in line with current Resuscitation Council Guidelines.
Delivered by an experienced Paramedic and First Aid Trainer who is registered with the Health Care Professions Council and a member of the Resuscitation Council UK.
Course Content:
- Assessing a casualty using the Primary Survey.
- Unresponsive but breathing casualty-recovery position.
- Unresponsive and not breathing casualty-CPR using current Resuscitation Council UK Guidelines.
- Paediatric anatomy and physiology in relation to BLS.
- AED- Rationale for using the AED, safe use, post AED use procedures.
- Choking protocol.
The course will include lots of hands on learning using Brayden CPR manikins which help visualise the effects of CPR and Prestan CPR manikins with rate and depth compression monitors.
Each delegate with receive a certificate which will be valid for 1 year.
